Heavy Equipment Operator (Non‑DC Operator License) - Posting Location: DMV & Eastern Shore Pay: $33.26–$35.00/hour | Non‑Exempt Job Overview Anchor Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and other equipment on active construction sites.
Safely operate heavy equipment and excavate around utilities Read and follow plans and blueprints Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Work as part of a crew to meet project and safety goals Comply with OSHA, state, and company safety standards Qualifications Experience operating excavators, backhoes, and skid steer loaders Ability to work outdoors in all weather and perform heavy physical work Ability to follow instructions in English Willingness to work overtime and travel to various job sites Ability to obtain a DC Operator License (Class 7A, 7B, or Open 7) within six (6) months Ability to pass required physical exams, including DOT (if applicable) Benefits Paid holidays, 401(k), health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, EAP, commuter benefits, and voluntary coverages.
