The City of Portland, Texas, is seeking a skilled and experienced Capital Projects Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
Reporting to the Director of Public Works, this position is responsible for managing high-value projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance infrastructure development.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive project management experience, and a passion for improving city infrastructure.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management, Civil Design, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing capital projects, preferably with budgets exceeding $5M.- Preferred Certifications: Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Program Management Professional (PgMP).
Special Requirements - Technical Skills: Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar tools.- Strong Leadership: Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage complex projects.
