Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, GRC

About the Role

Vanta is building the leading Trust Management Platform that helps organizations improve and prove their security posture across compliance frameworks like SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001. As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer on the GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) team, you'll lead the development of core product offerings that enable enterprise customers to integrate their security and compliance programs with Vanta. This role offers the opportunity to drive significant technical decisions and mentor engineers while working on infrastructure that supports rapid business growth.

About the Role

Vanta's GRC organization develops and maintains the core platform that powers the company's upmarket enterprise expansion. You'll contribute directly to products that help customers integrate their existing security and compliance programs, providing actionable insights to operate and mature their security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects with engineering teams to deliver measurable business impact
• Establish technical direction for critical systems, ensuring the platform scales with rapid company growth
• Design, develop, and own new product features and infrastructure using TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Collaborate with skilled engineers to enhance customer security capabilities and compliance visibility
• Contribute to engineering culture and best practices as the organization expands

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience
• Proven technical leadership on teams or complex projects
• Startup experience or background in fast-moving, execution-focused environments
• Experience shipping greenfield projects
• Interest in security or prior experience in the security/compliance space
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Authorization to work in Canada (Alberta, Ontario, or British Columbia only)
