GRC Pre-Sales Consultant / Solutions Engineer – DACH market, EMEA

Vanta is hiring a GRC Solutions Engineer to serve as a technical pre-sales consultant supporting the DACH market from our London office. In this role, you'll guide prospects and customers through Vanta's Trust Management Platform, helping them design and implement governance, risk, and compliance programmes with technical expertise and domain fluency.

About the Role

As a Solutions Engineer, you'll be the trusted technical voice between our sales team and GRC-focused customers. You'll own technical relationships with commercial prospects, translate customer needs into product solutions, and bridge the gap between pre-sales and post-sales success. This is an ideal next step for GRC professionals, programme managers, auditors, and compliance practitioners who want to apply their domain expertise in a strategic, customer-facing capacity. Full German language proficiency is required to support DACH market teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with commercial prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle
• Develop deep expertise in Vanta's product capabilities, integrations, configurations, messaging, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape
• Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to inform product development and sales strategy
• Guide customers through trial and evaluation processes with Vanta
• Create product examples, documentation, and resources tailored to customer needs
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to identify gaps and drive improvements in the pre- to post-sales transition
• Foster a culture of teamwork, openness, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience as a solutions engineer, sales engineer, or equivalent role
• Proven B2B SaaS background
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Strong understanding of cloud application architecture
• Project management skills and ability to thrive in a startup environment with limited structure
• General knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash, JavaScript) with willingness to expand
• Familiarity with REST API development and service integrations (preferred)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and naturally persuasive communicator
• Comfortable balancing strategic discussions with hands-on technical work
• Prior cybersecurity experience (preferred)
• Full fluency in German (required for DACH market support)
• Ability to work from the London office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
