GRC Pre-Sales Consultant / Solutions Engineer – DACH market, EMEA

About the Role

Vanta is seeking a GRC Solutions Engineer to support the DACH market and regional account teams across the EMEA region. In this pre-sales role, you'll serve as the technical bridge between prospects, customers, and the sales organization, guiding them toward solutions that fit their governance, risk, and compliance needs. This position is based in Dublin with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Full German language proficiency is required.

Vanta's Trust Management Platform helps organizations automate and continuously verify their security and compliance posture across standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001. The company serves thousands of customers who rely on real-time, transparent security monitoring and proof of compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with commercial prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of Vanta's platform capabilities, integrations, configurations, partner ecosystem, and competitive positioning
• Gather customer feedback on product needs and functionality gaps; relay insights to the product team to inform prioritization
• Guide prospects and customers through trial processes, ensuring they understand platform fit for their GRC programmes
• Create product demonstrations, documentation, and resources tailored to customer needs
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to improve the pre-sales to post-sales transition
• Identify and drive initiatives that strengthen the customer onboarding experience

Requirements

• 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or equivalent role
• Fluent German language proficiency (required for DACH market support)
• Proven B2B SaaS sales or pre-sales experience
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Understanding of cloud application architecture
• Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, less-structured startup environment
• Detail-oriented, organized, and naturally persuasive communicator
• Comfort diving into technical details while maintaining strategic perspective
• General knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Bash, JavaScript) with willingness to expand technical skills
• Familiarity with REST API development and service integrations (preferred)
• Prior experience in cybersecurity or GRC (preferred)
• Background as a GRC programme manager, internal or external auditor, compliance practitioner, or GRC vendor professional (especially encouraged)
• Ability to work from the Dublin office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
