About the Role
Mistral AI is seeking a Security Compliance Specialist to build and maintain the organization's cybersecurity compliance program. In this role, you'll coordinate compliance activities, support security framework implementation, and help the company achieve and sustain the certifications required for enterprise growth. Based in Paris, you'll work across technical, legal, and business teams to ensure Mistral meets evolving regulatory and standards requirements.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Mistral AI's cybersecurity compliance program and Information Security Management System.
- Coordinate compliance activities including internal reviews, control assessments, and external audits.
- Collect and organize evidence from stakeholders to demonstrate compliance with certifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and monitor remediation action tracking.
- Maintain compliance documentation, policies, procedures, control records, and audit materials.
- Create and deliver security compliance training and awareness content to staff.
- Help teams understand their compliance responsibilities and contributions to security initiatives.
- Monitor changes in cybersecurity standards and regulations, assessing organizational impact.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Legal, and other departments to identify certifications that support business development and customer acquisition.
- Evaluate and prioritize new certification initiatives based on business value, customer demand, implementation effort, and cost.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity compliance, information security governance, risk management, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting compliance programs, certification processes, or external audits.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, HDS, SecNumCloud, or C5.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations such as NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act, LPM, or DORA.
- Knowledge of requirements for sensitive or classified information (e.g., II 901, IGI 1300) is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage documentation and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, legal, commercial, and operational teams.
- Professional proficiency in English; French proficiency is a plus.
