Automation Engineer

Level, a learning technology company, is hiring an Automation Engineer in Austin. The role centers on developing automation infrastructure to support software testing, validation, and deployment for educational tools used by students, educators, and parents. The position requires ownership of multiple pipeline and Git systems to enable rapid, reliable releases.

Responsibilities

• Manage Git infrastructure
• Develop and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines along with associated policies and standards
• Build and oversee automation pipelines, workflows, triggers, and reporting mechanisms
• Handle build pipelines, delivery pipelines, and tooling pipelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven experience building automated test frameworks from scratch
• Proficiency in C# or similar languages with solid scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash
• Strong understanding of testing, validation, and deployment strategies
• Expert-level knowledge of Git
• Experience designing migration strategies that include automated validation and rollback
• Game industry QA or test automation experience
• Visual or rendering regression testing experience
• Performance and load testing automation experience
• Familiarity with Godot, Unreal, or Unity testing workflows
• Experience with database migrations, schema versioning, or content pipeline validation
