Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide role at Franciscan Ministries is based in Chicago, IL, within a residential care community. The position centers on meal delivery and service to residents along with department sanitation duties. Work occurs across dining venues with scheduled cleaning and temperature monitoring tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and serve meals to residents and guests across all dining areas.
• Set up dining rooms, trays, and food carts prior to meal service.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure meals meet portion control standards.
• Answer questions about menu items and confirm proper diet delivery per policy.
• Stock and clean kitchenettes while maintaining carts and dining room areas.
• Complete scheduled daily cleaning duties and maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Handle dishwashing and restocking of clean dishes.
• Record food cooking temperatures, hot and cold holding temperatures, and equipment temperature logs.
• Attend required department meetings, in-services, and trainings.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and assigned duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ServSafe certification if required by the facility.
• Zero to one or more years of dining services experience.
• Compensation of $17.05 per hour.
