Resident Care Assistant – Assisted Living

Franciscan Ministries operates Mount Alverna Village, a continuing care retirement community in Parma, Ohio, that provides independent living, memory support assisted living, skilled nursing, long-term care, and an onsite rehabilitation clinic. The community seeks a Resident Care Assistant for the assisted living unit on the 6a–2:15p shift. The position assists residents with daily living needs in a senior living setting that includes weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident assessments when providing services and assist with updating assessments
• Assist residents with personal laundry when requested
• Prepare residents for meals, serve meals, bus tables, and clean the dining room
• Clean residents’ apartments
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility
• Remind residents to take prescribed medications

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• One year of caregiving experience (preferred)
