Environmental Services Technician- Housekeeper

Mount Alverna Village, a continuing care retirement community operated by Franciscan Ministries in Parma, Ohio, is hiring a part-time Environmental Services Technician/Housekeeper. The CCRC offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, long-term care, and onsite rehabilitation services for elderly residents. This day-shift position has a start time between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and requires availability for rotating weekends and holidays. Compensation ranges from $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and maintain a safe environment in all designated areas using proper germicide cleaning products and following infection control practices.
• Clean, vacuum, sweep, and/or mop all floors and carpets.
• Clean windows and dust blinds and woodwork.
• Clean resident beds and rooms upon discharge, handling infectious waste appropriately.
• Maintain work carts, supply closets, and non-motorized equipment, keeping them stocked and clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous housekeeping experience a plus
• Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
