Regional Director of Clinical Services

The Regional Director of Clinical Services position with Franciscan Ministries is located in Auburn, IN. The role supports communities across Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, with approximately 75% regional travel required and the remainder performed remotely. This independent position oversees clinical services at the regional level, including process monitoring, training, auditing, and support for community nursing management to maintain quality standards and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assist community leadership with achieving and maintaining key indicator benchmarks and quality measures above state and national averages.
• Onboard and train new clinical leadership hires at assigned communities.
• Audit, train staff, and ensure adoption of the electronic health record platform.
• Conduct targeted reviews, mock surveys, and survey preparedness activities to maintain compliance with annual surveys.
• Ensure clinical leadership remains knowledgeable of new regulations and standards from regulatory agencies.
• Provide resources for survey preparation in accordance with CMS guidelines and organizational policies and procedures.
• Assist with Plans of Correction as needed and monitor new QA processes following any citations.
• Apply competency tools to verify clinical staff practices meet accepted professional standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of professional standards of practice, laws, and regulations affecting the communities.
• Provide oversight for planning and organization of Quality Improvement activities and assist with development or revision of policies, procedures, and forms.
• Monitor communities for risk management and compliance issues and report findings to community leadership and the VP of Clinical Services.
• Serve as a resource on infection control practices and surveillance, analyze data to prevent infections, and perform direct observations and corrections during site visits.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited college or university.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
• 5+ years of clinical leadership experience.
• Knowledge and proficiency in electronic health care records, with Point Click Care preferred.
• Proficiency in federal and state regulatory requirements.
• Ability to travel 75% regionally to IL, IN, and OH.

Benefits

• Salary range of USD $145,000.00 to USD $153,000.00 per year.
