Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide role at Franciscan Ministries supports food service operations in a senior residential community in Wheeling, IL. The position focuses on meal delivery, preparation assistance, and sanitation standards within dining areas for residents and guests. Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $17.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to residents and guests across all dining venues while following established service standards.
• Set up dining rooms, trays, and food carts prior to each meal service.
• Assist with basic meal preparation and ensure portions align with company guidelines.
• Confirm that served meals meet appearance and temperature requirements for palatability.
• Respond to questions regarding menu items and confirm delivery of specialized diets per policy.
• Stock kitchenettes, clean carts, and maintain dining room and cart sanitation.
• Complete scheduled daily cleaning tasks and maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Handle dishwashing and restocking of clean dishes as required.
• Log food cooking temperatures, hot and cold holding temperatures, and equipment readings on designated forms.
• Participate in required department meetings, in-services, and training sessions.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned while following all updated policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ServSafe certification if required by the facility.
• No prior experience required; 1 or more years of dining services experience preferred.
