Lead Server - Country Store

The Lead Server - Country Store role at Franciscan Ministries operates in dining services at the Lindenhurst, IL location. This position covers Monday-Friday shifts from 6:30am to 2:30pm at 1075 E Victory Dr Lindenhurst, IL 60046 and focuses on daily service operations for residents and dining guests. The role reports within the dining services team and includes a pay range of $16.00 to $17.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Lead associates to deliver high-quality food and service for residents and dining guests
• Maintain a sanitary, organized, and fully stocked dining room at all times
• Set up service stations and dining room properly before each meal period
• Train new staff on fine-dining principles, service etiquette, and dining services procedures
• Verify completion of all job cards, cleaning lists, and side work for each shift
• Assign or complete the closing check-out list at the end of each shift
• Conduct and document daily pre-service meetings
• Review daily associate assignments, menus, food ingredients including gluten-free and allergen details, and communicate new policies or procedures
• Enforce uniform policy and temperature-control procedures
• Monitor and document inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to dining services leadership
• Process transactions through the register system
• Prepare resident orders including lunch specials and sandwiches
• Verify and process internal food orders
• Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate’s degree in food service preferred
• Food Handler’s certificate or other certification required by state guidelines
• Minimum 3 years of food service experience
