Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

This Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is located at Franciscan Village, a senior living community operated by Franciscan Ministries in Lemont, IL. The role supports residents with daily care in a 5-Star CMS-rated facility recognized by US News & World Report among the best nursing homes. The hourly pay range is $20.50 to $24.50.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders according to individual care plans and community procedures.
• Perform lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting of residents between beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and mechanical lifts.
• Support dining services during assigned meals by setting up tables, delivering trays, assisting with feeding, cleaning up, and recording intake amounts.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical condition or cognitive status to nursing staff and supervisors.
• Distribute nutritional supplements at scheduled times, assist residents with consumption as needed, and document intake following community protocols.
• Engage residents in life enrichment programs and support participation in scheduled activities.
• Complete all required resident care documentation accurately and on time.
• Carry out additional tasks as directed and follow all updated community policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential, as required by Illinois state regulations
• Minimum 1 year of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors
• Physical capability to assist with resident lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transport using appropriate equipment
