Plant Operations Technician

Plant Operations Technician role at Franciscan Ministries in Lindenhurst, IL. The position maintains resident units, grounds, and common areas at the senior living community located at 1055 E Grand Ave. Full-time schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with alternating weekends. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety procedures and precautions during all maintenance work.
• Maintain the plant and community areas to support a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
• Report incidents, accidents, hazardous conditions, and defective equipment to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensure work areas are cleaned and tools, equipment, and supplies are stored properly before leaving.
• Keep work areas free of hazards and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions during maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate routine and terminal isolation procedures with nursing services.
• Complete assigned work orders on a timely basis.
• Follow maintenance schedules and instructions from the supervisor and established policies.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance including cutting, trimming, and sweeping of parking areas and driveways.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on the facility and equipment covering plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Replace burned-out light bulbs including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, and room call lights.
• Service heating and cooling units according to manufacturer specifications and facility procedures.
• Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned and comply with all policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of general maintenance experience.

Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $17.00 to $27.00.
