Cook I

This Cook I role is with Vi Living at the Vi at Aventura senior living community in Aventura, Florida. The position is located at 19333 W. Country Club Drive, Aventura FL 33180 and focuses on food preparation within the on-site kitchen. The schedule and team structure align with standard operations for meal service in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food items while ensuring the kitchen remains safe, clean, and sanitary at all times.
• Receive and stock incoming deliveries according to proper rotation procedures.
• Support the kitchen attendant with additional tasks as needed during service periods.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a high-quality restaurant, country club, hotel, or senior living community preferred.
• Basic knife skills required.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment.
• Proficiency with a Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain a Food Handler certificate as required.
• Valid and current driver's license where applicable.
• Compliance with Florida's Care Provider Background Screening process.
