Assistant Director of Facilities Management

The Assistant Director of Facilities Management position is with Vi Living at its Palo Alto community, located at 620 Sand Hill Road, Palo Alto, CA 94304. This role supports the maintenance of building systems and structures in a senior living setting and includes oversight of department operations during the Director's absence. The position reports a salary range of USD $99,355.05 - USD $124,209.77 per year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff
• Assist with maintenance of the mechanical functioning of building structures and systems
• Ensure safe and comfortable environment for residents and guests
• Oversee department operations in the Director's absence

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years progressive experience in building maintenance or equivalent
• At least 3 years supervisory experience in a maintenance department
• Experience working with contractors, bid documents, insurance requirements, contracts, invoicing, and budgetary guidelines (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Valid driver's license (where applicable)
• Universal Refrigerant certification (preferred)
• AFE Plant Supervisor certification (preferred)
• Ability to handle hand and power tools correctly and safely
• Knowledge of all facets of construction and building trades
• Knowledge of local and federal regulations and industry standards
• Ability to construct and submit bidding documents and evaluate proposals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management, and scheduling
