Memory Programs Director In Training

The Memory Programs Director In Training role is a 6-month paid rotational program at Belmont Village Senior Living, a company that owns and operates luxury senior living communities offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. The position is based in San Jose, California, with training conducted at an assisted living and memory care community under the guidance of an experienced preceptor. Successful completion leads to placement as a Memory Programs Director, with relocation required to any Belmont Village market for the first assignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee care and activity programs in memory care settings
• Supervise caregivers and activity hosts
• Plan and facilitate specialized activities to promote resident socialization, growth, learning, and development
• Ensure regulatory compliance while supporting community operations
• Complete on-the-job shadowing, skills checklists, self-paced online modules, and leadership assessments
• Participate in monthly meetings, self-evaluations, and progress reports with the program administrator and preceptor

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Experience in memory care and dementia programming
• Prior management or supervisory experience within the Assisted Living industry or closely related fields
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer troubleshooting, internet navigation, video conferencing, and ability to learn new technological systems rapidly
• Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24-hour operation, including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to relocate following training for the first assignment as Memory Programs Director to any market where Belmont Village operates
