Director of Nursing Training Program

This is a 6-month Director of Resident Care Services In-Training program at Belmont Village Senior Living Corporate in Austin, Texas. The program prepares participants to advance into Director of Resident Care Services or Director of Nursing roles at the company's assisted living and memory care communities through mentored rotational training at one of its sites.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a hands-on rotational program covering all aspects of care and clinical services under the guidance of an experienced Director of Resident Care Services preceptor
• Manage licensed nurses, medication technicians, and caregivers including scheduling and assigning daily tasks
• Serve as a liaison between physicians, residents, and families
• Participate in an on-call schedule to address after-hours clinical needs
• Develop understanding of regulatory compliance requirements
• Attend monthly meetings with the program administrator and preceptor, complete self-evaluations, and submit progress reports

Requirements

• Active current LVN, LPN, or RN nursing license in applicable state(s)
• Minimum 1 year of employment experience in a nursing role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer troubleshooting, internet navigation, video conferencing, and ability to rapidly learn new technological systems
• Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24-hour operation including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to relocate after training for the first Director of Resident Care Services assignment to any Belmont Village market
