Medical Assistant /Must live in the Beaumont Area

HarmonyCares seeks a Medical Assistant, also titled Clinical Partner, to support in-home primary care delivery for patients with complex healthcare needs in the Houston area. Candidates must reside in the Beaumont area. The position operates under a physician-driven model with daytime hours and no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily travel plans and transport clinicians to patient appointments in residential settings.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Obtain patient consent forms and document care activities accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.
• Perform venipuncture phlebotomy, EKGs, and other procedures as directed by clinicians.
• Label, store, and package specimens for laboratory transport.
• Update patient care plans, Social Determinants of Health assessments, and related documentation.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements.
• Manage supply inventory, prepare medical bags and vehicles, and ensure company vehicles receive scheduled maintenance.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, or EMT program, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist.
• Current CPR certification meeting company standards.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic computer literacy including EMR, iPad, and GPS use.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to drive up to 150 miles daily in urban or rural areas.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and perform full-range body motion including patient handling.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and read road maps.
