Line Cook

This is a full-time Line Cook position at Belmont Village Senior Living, a senior living community in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. The role supports a restaurant-style dining program in a commercial kitchen serving residents and guests. Scheduled shifts exclude late nights but vary and require availability on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
• Follow recipes, manage portion control, and ensure attractive plate presentation
• Manage cook times while preparing and handling multiple orders simultaneously
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures
• Follow checklists and company procedures to keep the kitchen stocked and well maintained

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant setting
• Proven basic culinary skills including knife handling, accurate measurements, and cooking methods
• Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
