Temporary Dining Room Coordinator

This Temporary Dining Room Coordinator role is with Belmont Village Senior Living Corporate at a senior living community in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. The position oversees dining operations in an on-site restaurant serving Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents. It is a hands-on supervisory role supported by a Chef Manager and requires a flexible schedule based on meal service needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to dining room servers to maintain food service and hospitality standards
• Oversee cleanliness and organization of dining spaces including the Bistro and main Dining Room
• Coordinate guest seating and ensure dining room readiness for each meal service
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing, Activities, and residents to plan and execute special events
• Respond to resident and guest feedback
• Train front of house employees on safety protocols, food handling, and dining area cleanliness in coordination with the Chef Manager
• Work with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support to meet organizational goals
• Assist the Chef Manager with front of house staff schedules, interviewing, training, and task delegation

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous dining supervisor experience in senior living, restaurant, hotel, or comparable service industry
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and hospitality standards with the ability to train others
• Knowledge of cleaning standards in a commercial food operation
• Ability to work flexible schedule as dining program needs require
• Ability to use company-issued electronic devices such as tablets, smartphones, and laptops for job-related tasks
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software tools and platforms
