Enrichment Leader

This full-time Enrichment Leader position is with Belmont Village Senior Living in Encinitas, California. The role supports the Memory Programs team and follows a Sunday-Thursday schedule from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The position focuses on residents with mild cognitive impairment and dementia in the Circle of Friends and Memory Care Neighborhood programs, with training provided toward certification in the evidence-based therapeutic curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Lead and teach small groups of cognitively impaired seniors in Whole Brain Fitness programs.
• Prepare materials and conduct research to lead memory enrichment activities.
• Assist with cognitive assessments, track resident participation, and maintain compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Associate degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 months leading group activities with a special needs population.
• Ability to work Sunday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm schedule, which may include weekends.
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
