Line Cook

The Line Cook role is a full-time position at Belmont Village Senior Living in Glenview, Illinois. The position supports the restaurant-style dining program within a senior living community. Assigned shifts are 10am-7pm or 9:15am-5:45pm and include weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch following assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
• Apply portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation
• Coordinate cook times while handling multiple orders at once
• Keep the kitchen clean and orderly in compliance with regulations and procedures
• Complete checklists to maintain stock levels and kitchen condition
• Prioritize resident satisfaction during all dining interactions

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Demonstrated knife handling, accurate measurement, and cooking method skills
• Availability for assigned shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
