Memory Care Director

The Memory Care Director position is based at Belmont Village Senior Living in Lakeway, Texas. This senior living community provides Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services. The role serves as the on-site dementia subject matter expert, overseeing program compliance, staff training, and service delivery for residents with memory care needs while coordinating with regional and corporate support teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance for all dementia care programs and staff training requirements
• Direct the work of dementia caregivers and dementia activity leaders
• Deliver advanced Alzheimer’s and dementia training to all community staff
• Perform cognitive assessments for prospective and current residents and incorporate results into individualized care and activity plans
• Coordinate with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support on memory care operations
• Provide education and assistance to family members of residents as required
• Manage hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, training, and task delegation for all direct reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or a related field
• Three years of hands-on experience facilitating dementia or Alzheimer’s activity programs
• Minimum two years of management experience in a comparable healthcare setting
• Proven effective use of technology in a professional setting
• Ability to work flexible schedules within a 24-hour operation, including weekends as needed
