Dining Room Server

Part-time Dining Room Server role at Belmont Village Senior Living, an assisted living community in Chicago, Illinois. Shifts run from 10:30am to 7pm or 3pm to 7pm, with days varying to include weekends and holidays. The position provides table service in the on-site restaurant and supports special events within the community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive table service to assigned tables in the restaurant to support a positive dining experience
• Record orders accurately, suggest menu items, and serve food and beverages on time
• Verify that each order reaches the table at the proper temperature with correct presentation and accuracy
• Set up the dining room before service by preparing flatware, condiments, and beverages
• Provide meal service during special events and celebrations held at the community
• Keep the dining room and assigned tables clean while meeting guest needs during meals

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16 years
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Preferred: knowledge of dining etiquette
• Preferred: prior restaurant server experience
