Line Cook

This PRN/On Call Line Cook position is located at Belmont Village Senior Living in Oak Park, Illinois. The role supports food preparation and service in the senior living community's commercial kitchen for residents and guests. Assigned shifts include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cook meals from scratch following assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
• Adhere to recipes for portion control and plate presentation
• Coordinate cook times while handling multiple orders at once
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized in line with regulations, policies, and procedures
• Use checklists and procedures to maintain stock levels and kitchen upkeep
• Prioritize hospitality and resident satisfaction in all interactions

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Basic culinary skills including knife handling, accurate measurements, and cooking methods
• Availability for assigned shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Successful completion of state and federal criminal background check, drug screen, job-related physical, and TB test
