Line Cook

This is a full-time Line Cook position at Belmont Village Senior Living on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in California. The role supports a restaurant-style dining program for residents in a senior living community and follows a set schedule of Wednesday and Thursday 5:30am to 2:00pm plus Friday to Sunday 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch following assigned recipes and quality standards
• Apply portion control and produce plates that meet presentation requirements
• Coordinate cook times while handling multiple orders at once
• Keep the kitchen clean and orderly in compliance with regulations and procedures
• Complete checklists to maintain stock levels and kitchen readiness
• Prioritize resident satisfaction during all resident and guest interactions

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• At least 6 months of line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Demonstrated knife handling, accurate measurement, and cooking method skills
• Availability for assigned shifts that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Successful completion of post-offer background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB testing
