Maintenance Assistant

This part-time Maintenance Assistant role at Belmont Village Senior Living operates on a Sunday and Monday schedule in San Ramon, California. The position supports the Building Engineer with general maintenance and grounds work inside a senior living community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Building Engineer with preventative and routine maintenance including basic plumbing repairs, drywall repairs, painting, and general upkeep of the community and grounds
• Maintain upkeep of common areas, ensure exterior sidewalks are free of debris, and assist with trash removal as needed
• Complete the apartment make-ready process
• Complete assigned maintenance work order tasks and assist with internal moves as needed
• Assist with special event set up and clean up as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in apartment, senior living, hotel or comparable setting
• Proficient reading, comprehension, writing and mathematical ability
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Ability to work assigned shifts which may include early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Successful completion of post-offer pre-employment screenings including background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB testing
