Medication Technician

This is a part-time Medication Technician role at Belmont Village Senior Living in San Ramon, California. The position operates in an Assisted Living and Memory Care community and involves assisting residents with medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse, along with related documentation and vital sign monitoring. The schedule is 6:30am-2:45pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine medications following physician orders and community protocols
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living as required
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and document any medication refusals or reactions
• Report observed side effects or changes in resident condition to the supervising nurse
• Record vital signs and monitor resident responses to medications
• Attend shift meetings and provide updates on resident status to nursing staff
• Follow all resident rights, infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months of experience as a caregiver in a licensed community or facility
• CNA license where required by state
• Current Medication Technician or Medication Aide certification where required by state
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills
• Successful completion of post-offer background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB testing
