Medication Tech

The Medication Tech role at Belmont Village Senior Living supports residents in an Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Sunnyvale, California. The position operates on a 2:30pm-10:45pm schedule Monday and Tuesday under the supervision of a licensed Nurse and involves medication administration along with electronic medical record maintenance. This setting serves seniors in a luxury senior living environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine medications according to physician orders and community protocols while assisting with ADL care when required
• Update electronic medical records with medication administration details and report refusals or adverse reactions to the supervising nurse
• Measure and record resident vital signs while monitoring for medication side effects or responses
• Participate in shift handoff meetings and provide updates on resident status to nursing staff
• Follow all resident rights policies along with state and federal rules covering infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials handling

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of caregiver experience in a licensed community or facility
• C.N.A. License where required by state regulation
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification where required by state regulation
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills
