Maintenance Assistant

This is a full-time Maintenance Assistant role at Belmont Village Senior Living in Dallas, Texas. The position assists the Building Engineer with upkeep of the senior living community and grounds on a Tuesday-Saturday schedule from 7:00am to 4:00pm, with pay of $22-$24 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Building Engineer with preventative and routine maintenance tasks including basic plumbing repairs, drywall repairs, painting, and general upkeep of the community and grounds
• Maintain common areas, keep exterior sidewalks clear of debris, and handle trash removal as assigned
• Complete the apartment make-ready process efficiently
• Carry out maintenance work orders and assist with internal resident moves
• Provide support for special event setup and cleanup

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in an apartment, senior living, hotel, or comparable setting
• Proficient reading, comprehension, writing, and mathematical ability
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Ability to work the assigned shift, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Successful completion of a State and Federal criminal background check, drug screen, job-related physical, and TB test
