Registered Nurse (RN)

The Village at Victory Lakes, operated by Franciscan Ministries, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for its senior living community in Lindenhurst, IL. The role provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises certified nursing assistants, with full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts available. A weekend differential of $3.00 per hour applies, and full-time positions include a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of certified nursing assistants and resident care associates according to federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
• Follow the nursing model to deliver holistic resident care.
• Verify compliance with policies and procedures by assigned nursing personnel.
• Manage resident admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
• Assess changes in resident status, notify the physician and family or representative, and document findings.
• Transcribe physician orders to the medical record and implement orders as written.
• Prepare and administer medications per physician orders and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform wound treatments per physician orders, observe changes, and document accordingly.
• Schedule resident follow-up appointments and arrange transportation as needed.
• Provide nursing leadership to personnel assigned to the unit.
• Deliver direct care including colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, and IV administration per current policies.
• Conduct rounds to confirm resident needs are met and staff perform assigned duties.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address residents' holistic needs.
• Report incidents or unusual occurrences to the community's leadership team.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment and notify appropriate personnel of shortages.
• Initiate, review, and update care plans as required.
• Participate in the survey process during inspections.
• Support QAPI activities when assigned.
• Apply infection control principles and correct deficiencies in practice.
• Report allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation, exploitation, or mistreatment to the supervisor or administrator.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all policies and updates.

Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics.

Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $35.00 to $47.00.
