Senior II Fullstack Software Engineer, GRC

About the Role

Vanta is seeking a Senior II Fullstack Software Engineer to lead the development and evolution of our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) product offerings. This role is central to our mission of helping businesses earn and prove trust through continuous security monitoring and verification. You'll drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact products that enable enterprise customers to integrate their security and compliance programs with Vanta.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects across the GRC organization to deliver significant business impact
• Set technical direction for critical areas of our platform, establishing abstractions and systems that enable scaling
• Design, develop, and own new GRC product functionality and infrastructure using TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Mentor and collaborate with talented engineers to build products that help customers improve their security posture and demonstrate compliance
• Contribute to Vanta's engineering culture as the organization grows

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of software engineering industry experience
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience mentoring teams or owning complex projects
• Prior startup experience or work in fast-paced, action-oriented environments
• Experience leading greenfield product development
• Interest in learning about security or prior hands-on experience in the security domain
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
