About the Role
Vanta helps businesses earn and prove trust through continuous security monitoring and verification. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you'll build the foundation for a best-in-class analytics function, partnering closely with data science teams and business stakeholders to create an analytics stack that meets current needs while scaling for the future.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex data models to enable dashboards, self-serve analytics, and data science initiatives.
- Write optimized, scalable SQL queries across large-scale, heterogeneous data warehouses.
- Enable AI tooling with semantic layers and observability, guiding the analytics function on industry best practices.
- Manage and improve data infrastructure to drive data-driven decision-making solutions.
- Develop front-end applications to expose analytical datasets across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with Product and Corporate Engineering teams to structure source systems for reporting consumption.
Requirements
- At least four years of experience working with data and two years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with analytics tooling: dbt (required), Stitch/Fivetran, Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, Airflow, Dagster, Looker/Mode/Sigma.
- System-oriented and software engineering mindset; ability to build frameworks that manage data and minimize bespoke queries.
- Deep knowledge of dimensional and fact modeling in modern data architectures.
- Passion for enabling developer experience in data and empowering the broader organization with data capabilities.
- Interest in leading on security, anonymization, and compliance management for data warehousing.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
- Openness to using AI to amplify skills, strengthen work, and improve efficiency responsibly.
