Job Description
Doppel is building an AI-native platform to defend enterprises against phishing, impersonation, fraud, and AI-powered social engineering threats. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work directly with enterprise customers to build and deploy custom solutions that protect against digital deception at scale.
About the Role
You'll be a technical bridge between our customers and product team, combining strong engineering skills with customer empathy to solve complex enterprise security problems. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in ambiguous environments, enjoy direct customer interaction, and can rapidly prototype and ship end-to-end solutions that evolve into core platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Build customer-facing applications, workflows, and product capabilities that address real enterprise security challenges.
- Develop AI-powered automations and integrations for customers and internal teams.
- Prototype and deploy end-to-end solutions that can scale into core product functionality.
- Partner directly with enterprise customers to understand requirements, drive successful deployments, and gather feedback.
- Build and maintain integrations with APIs, webhooks, identity providers, SIEM/SOAR platforms, and other enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot authentication and enterprise integration issues including OAuth, SAML, SCIM, and related protocols.
- Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously while coordinating across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
- Translate customer feedback into scalable product improvements.
- Build internal tooling that accelerates onboarding, deployment, and operational workflows.
- Create and maintain documentation, dashboards, and deployment best practices for customers.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with experience building production applications; Python preferred.
- Familiarity with AI application development, LLM APIs, or workflow automation.
- Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers to solve technical problems.
- Strong understanding of enterprise authentication and integration standards (OAuth, SAML, SCIM, webhooks, REST APIs).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
- Product-minded, highly autonomous, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
