Job Description
Doppel is building an AI-native platform to detect and dismantle social engineering attacks, phishing, impersonation, and fraud across digital channels. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work directly with enterprise customers to build integrations, automations, and customer-facing solutions that address real security challenges while becoming core platform capabilities.
About the Role
You'll combine strong software engineering with customer empathy and product intuition, operating independently in a startup environment. This role bridges technical execution and customer success—you'll own multiple customer projects simultaneously, translate their requirements into scalable solutions, and coordinate across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
Responsibilities
- Build customer-facing applications, workflows, and product capabilities that solve enterprise security problems
- Develop AI-powered automations and integrations for customers and internal teams
- Prototype and ship end-to-end solutions that can evolve into core product functionality
- Partner directly with enterprise customers to understand requirements and drive successful deployments
- Build and maintain integrations with APIs, webhooks, identity providers, SIEM/SOAR platforms, and other enterprise systems
- Troubleshoot authentication and enterprise integration issues (OAuth, SAML, SCIM, etc.)
- Own multiple customer projects simultaneously, coordinating across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
- Translate customer feedback into scalable product improvements
- Build internal tooling that accelerates onboarding, deployment, and operational workflows
- Create and maintain documentation, dashboards, and best practices for customer deployments and integrations
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with experience building production applications (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with AI application development, LLM APIs, or workflow automation
- Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers to solve technical problems
- Strong understanding of enterprise authentication and integrations (OAuth, SAML, SCIM, webhooks, REST APIs)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams
- Product-minded, highly autonomous, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
