Mobile Engineer, Android

About the Role

Ramp is seeking an Android Engineer to enhance and expand its mobile app, which thousands of businesses rely on daily for financial operations. You'll design and launch new products while integrating AI and intelligent agents into the mobile experience, working on a platform that processes over $200B in annualized spend across 70,000+ companies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and launch new products to Ramp's Android app
• Help establish engineering processes, tools, and systems that scale the codebase and team productivity
• Conduct code reviews and set engineering standards
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to identify key features for app success
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand customer feedback and drive continuous product improvement

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of mobile development experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Compose for Android development
• Demonstrated experience launching at least one mobile app or multiple features that reached a large user base
• Strong understanding of mobile design patterns and best practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and continuously grow your technical skills

Nice to Haves

• Experience with web development (React, TypeScript)
• Familiarity with backend technologies (Python, Flask, SQL, OpenAPI)
• Experience with Ramp's mobile stack: MVVM, coroutines, flows, gradle, OpenAPI, and Buildkite
• Experience managing apps in Google Play Console
