Job Description
About the Role
Ramp is seeking a Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for the Engineering organization. You'll partner directly with engineering leadership and hiring managers to build targeted talent pipelines, manage complex searches from first contact through offer close, and maintain the quality bar for technical hires. This is a craft role where recruiting strategy, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes are equally prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Engineering leadership and hiring managers to understand role requirements and organizational fit
- Own full-cycle recruiting for multiple engineering searches, managing every stage from initial sourcing through signed offer
- Develop deeply targeted sourcing strategies by researching companies, teams, and individual engineers before searches open
- Collaborate with the sourcing team to refine talent pipeline strategies and competitive intelligence
- Execute candidate processes with urgency and attention to detail—same-day follow-up, next steps scheduled before calls end, proactive communication throughout
- Track pipeline activity, maintain data integrity, and share data-driven updates with stakeholders; identify funnel issues early with evidence-based insights
- Manage offer processes: extend offers, negotiate compensation, close candidates, and generate offer letters
- Act as a strategic advisor by anticipating hiring needs, shaping recruiting strategy alongside engineering stakeholders, and translating abstract requirements into concrete target lists and close plans
- Lead initiatives to improve technical recruiting operations, including interview loop design, interviewer training, scorecards, and cross-functional efforts that improve hiring quality and speed
- Build strong relationships across the recruiting team and engineering organizations
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting or sourcing experience in high-growth technology companies or startups
- Proven track record hiring for deeply technical engineering roles; ability to discuss the actual work and technical depth with hiring managers, not just titles
- Hands-on experience using AI tools across the recruiting process—sourcing, screening, calibration, and closing; view tooling as part of recruiting craft and actively source rather than wait for inbound
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to tell compelling stories about candidates and hiring strategy
- Ability to influence stakeholders at various organizational levels using data-driven reasoning
- Operationally organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working through ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
- Genuine commitment to candidate experience and belief that hiring process quality reflects on Ramp's employer brand
