Applied AI Engineer, Fullstack

About the Role

Ramp's Financial Intelligence team, part of the Applied AI organization, builds the agentic analysis, FP&A, and book-close experiences that over 70,000 businesses depend on for financial operations. You'll own customer-facing surfaces where AI agents and users interact with financial data, designing full-stack solutions from React interfaces through backend APIs. This frontend-leaning position is ideal for an engineer who balances interaction design expertise with backend systems thinking, ensuring AI experiences feel polished and trustworthy in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end customer-facing AI experiences, spanning React UI, API design, and data contracts
• Build business-intelligence-grade interfaces for agentic analysis, month-end close, and FP&A workflows with emphasis on performance, density, interactivity, and reliability
• Manage complex client-side state and rendering in data-heavy, real-time, agent-driven applications
• Collaborate on API and backend architecture to ensure the full stack serves product requirements
• Integrate AI coding models and agentic workflows as a standard part of daily development

Requirements

• Advanced frontend skills: TypeScript, React, and sophisticated state management in complex, data-intensive contexts
• Proficiency with current AI coding models and agentic development workflows
• Ability to work across the stack, including API design and backend systems, with frontend as your primary focus
• Demonstrated history of shipping polished, production-grade product experiences and owning them through uncertainty
• Bonus: experience with business intelligence tools, data visualization, or financial/analytics products
