Wiz is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector to support Federal Civilian and DoD customers in cloud security. In this technical sales engineering role based in Washington, D.C., you'll partner with account executives to help federal customers evaluate and deploy Wiz's cloud security platform across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
About the Role
You will report to the Federal Solutions Engineering Manager and serve as the technical advisor for federal customers and prospects. Your focus will be on demonstrating how Wiz helps organizations secure their cloud infrastructure and applications while meeting their compliance and security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical guidance and leadership to Federal Civilian and DoD customers, supporting quarterly sales goals
- Deliver technical presentations including whiteboard sessions, product demonstrations, and proof-of-value outcomes
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans to demonstrate Wiz platform value within customer environments
- Stay current with product features, industry developments, and evolving cloud security best practices
- Represent Wiz at industry events, trade shows, and technical forums
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective demonstrations and training to federal audiences
- Mastery of the technical sales process
- Background in sales engineering with experience presenting solutions to C-level executives at enterprise organizations
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Strong cloud security background
- Solid knowledge of operating systems, virtual machines, and containers
- Experience with network engineering
- Understanding of risk-based security assessments and frameworks
- Knowledge of cloud identity, access management, certificates, and key management
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must meet EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15 definition of a U.S. person and reside in the contiguous United States
- Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools
- SaaS sales engineering experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
Benefits
This full-time position includes base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits. The US base salary range is $189,700–$211,400 USD. Individual compensation is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google.
