<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Build scalable and reliable backend services, webhooks and public-facing APIs;</li>
<li>Write high-quality, maintainable code to reliably process and evaluate data signals in real-time, solving complex problems at scale;</li>
<li>Take ownership of medium-sized technical projects, translating requirements and constraints into reliable, secure, and explainable system architectures;</li>
<li>Actively contribute to the teams on-call rotation, effectively debugging, operating, and maintaining high-visibility systems using established runbooks and best practices;</li>
<li>Engage directly with product teams to understand internal and external user pain points, using those insights to build the right solutions and help inform the teams roadmap.</li>

<h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3>
<p>Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience in Software Engineering. </p>
<p>In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience in Software Engineering. </p>
<p>Must also have 3 years of experience in each of the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Programming languages including Java, Ruby, Python and Go;</li>
<li>Building scalable and reliable backend services, webhooks and public-facing APIs;</li>
<li>Designing, building, and deploying distributed backend services in a production environment, including handling concurrency, fault tolerance, and service reliability at scale;</li>
<li>Working with relational databases in Postgre SQL, MySQL or NoSQL data stores, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for high-throughput workloads;</li>
<li>Stream processing or event-driven architectures in Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent, including producing, consuming, and reliably processing high-volume data streams;</li>
<li>Translate product and engineering requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable system designs, including defining service boundaries, failure modes, and observability strategies;</li>
<li>Building automated systems or tooling to instrument, measure, and evaluate the end-to-end customer experience of digital products, including test automation frameworks, signal collection pipelines, or quality evaluation workflows;</li>
<li>Developing interactive frontend components, dashboards, or data reports using React and D3.js to visualize customer behavior, product metrics, and operational signals in real time.</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary: $235,090- $285,600/yr</p>
<p>This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions / sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.</p>
<p>40 hrs/week</p>
<p><strong>50% Telecommuting Permitted.</strong></p>
