Job Title RN Ambulatory - Neuro Expansion Location Cleveland Facility Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Department Job Code F24007 Shift Days Schedule 7:00am-3:30pm/8:00am-4:30pm Job Summary Job Details Join the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute and become part of one of the world’s most respected healthcare organizations. We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions. RNs in this role have a consistent weekday schedule with no on-call responsibilities, weekend or holiday commitments . Working across pre-op, intraoperative and recovery areas, you will care for patients undergoing same-day procedures in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position assists with patient assessments, procedural support, documentation and recovery monitoring while working alongside physicians and procedural teams. It also provides an opportunity for additional experience through cross-training in different clinical areas, including infusion services, creating a well-rounded and rewarding nursing experience. This position is scheduled for an 8-hour shift between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. It does not require any weekend, holiday, or on-call availability. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
  • Administer medication and treatments. Initiate CPR and other emergency measures. Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment. Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families. Cover other nursing roles within the department. Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Minimum qualifications

for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination

Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects

Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible
