As an Experienced Registered Nurse, you will play an essential role in caring for patients with some of the most complex cardiovascular conditions. Potential Unit Placement Opportunities This posting represents opportunities across the following units. Candidates selected for hire will be matched to a single unit. Cardiothoracic Surgery Stepdown Units – J51, J53, J61, J62 and J63 Thoracic Surgery Stepdown – J52 Cardiovascular Medicine Stepdown Units – J71, J72 and J73 ​ Vascular Surgery Stepdown – J81 Heart/Lung Transplant Stepdown Unit – J82 1921 Suites: Cardiac Stepdown Unit – J83 A caregiver in this position works 7:00am—7 30pm or 7:00pm —7 :30 am . R otating weekends and holidays . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings. Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records, and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
  • Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
  • Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications. Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team. Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning. Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care. Educate patients and families. Cover other nursing roles in the department.

Minimum qualifications

for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing ( Diploma, ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross *Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within two months of hire One-year of current acute care RN experience

Will consider military RN experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor of S cience in N ursing (BSN) Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours

Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
