Lutheran Hospital’s 4D Medical-Surgical & Telemetry Unit is a 44-bed nursing unit that provides cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, neurological, infectious disease, substance abuse, behavioral health, pre-operative and post-operative care

Known for exceeding patients’ expectations and high-quality patient care, you’ll be joining a collaborative team where caregivers function as one team and patients are put first

As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers with providing exceptional care to patients from initial introduction to discharge.

In this role

, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. A caregiver in this position works rotating days/nights from 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families.

Minimum qualifications

for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience.

Preferred qualifications

for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
