Job Description

Find your calling at Mercy! Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.

The Emergency Trauma Center is a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center, recognized for outstanding trauma services in both Missouri and Arkansas We are the areas only Regional Burn Center serving our multistate areas including Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. 70 exam/treatment areas including 6 designated trauma suits 11 beds dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department, with specialty trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians Specialty Behavioral Health resources and treatment areas SANE Program Positive and cohesive relationships with Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians Emergency Trauma Center Nursing Fellowship – a full time, hands-on program designed to increase skill set and comfort level in a fast pace environment

As a professional nurse in our Emergency Trauma Center, you will interact with nearly every healthcare specialty, caring for patients with minor illnesses to life-threatening diseases or injury.

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of a State approved School of Nursing Licensure: Possess a current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit

Experience: Must have hospital based experience Preferred one year Emergency Dept experience Certifications: ETC and Acute Care Center RNs must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period

ETC RNs must have a current ACLS card or complete a course within 6 months of their hire date ETC RNs must have current PALS or ENPC, and TNCC cards or complete courses within one year of hire date
