<p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p>

<p>As a&nbsp;<strong>Senior Software Engineer</strong>, you will bridge the gap between product vision and platform execution You will hold end-to-end ownership of our tactical edge client, building and optimizing applications for Android mobile and Linux-based in-vehicle systems where high performance on constrained hardware is critical

Beyond writing exceptional code, you will collaborate closely with Product and Platform teams to shape our technical roadmap and champion the growth of our engineering team by mentoring junior developers.<br><br><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></p>

<li>You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Development, and other engineering teams (internal and external), executing on our SDLC process from concept, development, production and fielding.</li>

<li>Own areas of the ECC software solution that are deployed to customers</li>

<li>Build scalable systems</li>

<li>Write code to improve products and scale the mission capability to more customers</li>

<li>Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality</li>

<li>Create and analyze metrics that are leveraged for debugging and monitoring</li>

<li>Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next-steps</li>

<li>Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints</li>

<li>Travel up to 25% of time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world</li>

<li>Brief executives (internal and external) and high ranking officials</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong><strong> </strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics</li>

<li>8+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Flutter, Dart, C#, Kotlin, Java, Python, etc.</li>

<li>Experience working with Linux and/or Nix/NixOS.</li>

<li>Experience building software solutions involving hardware integrations</li>

<li>Experience building scalable solutions on edge infrastructure</li>

<li>Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases</li>

<li>Passionate about working on critical software that has a real-world impact</li>

<li>Be data driven and customer outcomes focused</li>

<li>Experience using AGILE methodologies and execution</li>

<li>Must be willing to travel up to 25% in this role</li>

<li>Must Be Clearance Eligible</li>

<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>

<li>Experience working with and designing distributed systems</li>

<li>Proven ability to deliver high-quality results at pace, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment</li>

<li>Deep networking experience, especially for distributed systems operating in non-standard networking conditions</li>

<li>Familiarity with industry standard cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking, security, distributed systems)</li>

<li>A deep, demonstrated understanding of how computers and networks work, from a single desktop to a multi-cluster cloud node</li>

<li>Professional software development lifecycle experience using tools such as version control, CICD systems, etc.</li>

<li>Familiarity with industry standard monitoring, logging, and data management tools and best practices</li>
