CORE JOB FUNCTIONS 1 Cleans, sanitizes, maintains, and operates laboratory equipment. 2 Keeps records of research data and assists in analyzing it. 3 Maintains inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies and places orders in a timely fashion. 4
Proofreads and assists in the writing of manuscripts, grant proposals, and lab protocols. 5 Prepares reports of experiment results. 6 Performs research by completing simple experiments or steps in more complicated studies. 7

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. • Commitment to the University’s core values. • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
Department Specific Functions We are looking for a research laboratory technician to assist with cell biology experiments (cell culture flow cytometry), and basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA and RNA purification and quantification
