The Pharmacy Technician 1 prepares medications for patients under the guidance of a Pharmacist Assists the Pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions, price-checking, and restocking of drugs

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS 1 Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records. 2 Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals. 3

Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs. 4 Refers providers’ calls and medical questions to Pharmacist. 5 Participates in orientation and assigned training program to attain competency in pharmacy technician duties. 6

Stays abreast of basic knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations and standards, pharmacy informatics and technology including medication dispensing systems, and pharmacy calculations. 7

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
