Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Manager to join our team!

In this role

, you will manage Parsons E-IDS Support under P35 project support activities for FAA programs and facilities across the National Airspace System. This position will lead planning, coordination, execution tracking, reporting, stakeholder alignment, and project controls to ensure assigned work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with FAA and Parsons T5 Program requirements. T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5, T5, to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8 billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan, certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs, and aviation safety. Work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions, as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and several U.S. territories. What You’ll Be Doing: Manage assigned FAA project support activities, including planning, execution coordination, schedule tracking, budget monitoring, risk management, reporting, and closeout support. Coordinate with FAA stakeholders, Parsons program leadership, engineering teams, implementation teams, site personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and project support staff to ensure project objectives are achieved. Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts, staffing needs, deliverables, action items, risks, issues, and dependencies. Support scope development, scope management, and execution planning for assigned project activities. Track project performance against contractual, technical, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer requirements. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project management plans, meeting minutes, action item logs, status reports, risk registers, budget inputs, project briefings, and closeout materials. Chair project meetings, coordinate stakeholder communications, document decisions, and follow up on open actions to maintain project momentum. Serve as a project interface with FAA customers and internal Parsons leadership on readiness, progress, risks, issues, and corrective actions. Coordinate cross-functional support for FAA facility activities, including engineering reviews, site readiness, logistics, implementation planning, testing support, operational coordination, and final project deliverables. Monitor subcontractor, vendor, and internal team performance to ensure work is completed in accordance with FAA safety, security, quality, operational, and technical requirements. Assist Program Management with project forecasting, labor planning, ODC tracking, budget reviews, invoicing support, and project financial performance. Identify potential cost, schedule, scope, or execution challenges and work with team members and leadership to develop corrective action plans. Support change management activities, including identification of scope changes, schedule impacts, cost impacts, and customer coordination requirements. Maintain strong working relationships with FAA customers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, project teams, and internal Parsons stakeholders. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. What Required Skills You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, project management, aviation, information systems, or a related technical field. 10 years of related project management, technical program support, infrastructure, systems implementation, construction, aviation, transportation, or government contract experience. Experience managing small to medium-sized projects or project elements involving scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, staffing, documentation, and stakeholder coordination. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience preparing project reports, executive briefings, meeting materials, action item logs, schedules, budget inputs, and formal presentations using Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to work with government customers, subcontractors, vendors, technical teams, field personnel, and senior program leadership. Demonstrated ability to anticipate problems, develop corrective actions, and drive project activities to completion. Knowledge of project controls, project documentation, quality processes, safety requirements, and customer reporting expectations. Ability to meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements. Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by federal authorities will be completed. What Desired Skills You’ll Bring: Experience supporting FAA, aviation, transportation, defense, or other mission-critical infrastructure or technology programs. Familiarity with FAA facilities, National Airspace System operations, air traffic systems, terminal systems, communications systems, automation systems, or operational support environments. Experience supporting TFDM, E-IDS, IPVCS, or similar FAA/NAS modernization, implementation, integration, or sustainment efforts. Experience coordinating activities at operational FAA facilities, including stakeholder coordination, readiness planning, implementation support, testing support, and closeout documentation. Experience with systems deployment, site preparation, communications infrastructure, automation systems, terminal infrastructure, or operational technology projects. Experience managing geographically dispersed work across multiple FAA regions, facilities, or field locations. Experience with subcontractor coordination, vendor management, project controls, cost tracking, schedule development, and customer reporting. PMP, PgMP, CMAA, or similar project management certification preferred but not required. Knowledge of FAA safety, security, quality, operational, and documentation requirements preferred. Salary Range
